Work Location – Munich Germany
Responsibilities:
Validate next-gen 77GHz automotive radar chips on a system level.
Collect and structure measurement result data, and efficiently populate report templates. Build and bring-up HW/SW-in-the-loop test benches for effective testing. Develop, tailor, and maintain test scripts for test automation in Java. Build and debug software for embedded devices.
Required Education & Experience:
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Practical experience in setting up and configuring HW/SW test systems (DUT) and RF measurement instrumentation (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, freq multiplier, VNA, etc.). Proficiency in scripting to control instrumentation and DUT, automate tests, and gather/structure/store measurement result data (e.g., using MATLAB). Ability to develop, tailor, debug, and maintain SW scripts in Java for test automation, including RF DUT, test instrumentation devices, and thermal conditioner devices (thermostreamer).
Configuration and debugging experience of instrument drivers in Java (Ethernet, GPIB, VISA, etc.).
Expertise in developing, debugging, and maintaining test scripts for automated test sequence execution, automated measurement results data collection, data processing, and report generation.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure setup for radar test benches (computer platform, compiler, bus interfaces, etc.).
Mandatory knowledge in functional safety ISO 26262 (training certificate). A plus: Background and basic understanding in RF/GHz domain and electromagnetics, experience with radar target simulators, and mmWave circuit boards.
Other skills / characteristics:
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across organizational and geographical boundaries.
Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills in English. A good listener. Strong team spirit, willingness to share knowledge, and ability to interact both internally and externally.
