Responsibilities:Test Execution and status update. After an automation test execution via cypress the results of the execution should be posted back to the TEST CASE the automation was executed against.
Cypress automation should have the capability to take screenshots of the execution. It should also be able to post back the screenshot, any log file, txt file, csv file etc. to the test case work item as attachments. After execution status is updated on test case work item should show the status outcome “passed” or “failed” and the attachments should be accessible / downloadable
When creating a new test case (not converting selenium to Cypress) showcase that only the test case name and acceptance criteria are needed in the ADO work item. The remaining items – test steps, expected outcome / results and actual outcome are captured clearly be the automation output from Cypress and attached back into ADO test case as execution results.
Showcase a data driven test case using Cypress. Also investigate any ability to use attachments from Test Case work items to execute Cypress data driven tests. Create a Test Plan; Showcase manually triggered execution and automatic execution using Git actions, while fulfilling criteria from items 1, 2, 3
Generate a TCA (Test Case Approval) to showcase a new Test Case Creation. And generate a TER (Test Execution Report)
Idempotent test cases with random data generations support
Cypress used for All our testing automation.

Summary of the role:
As an Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the team to define strategy and process, bringing automation in line with existing functional aspects of the test effort. You will be responsible for creation, execution, and maintenance of automated scripts.
In this role you’ll:

Design, create, execute and maintain automated tests

Set up test environment and test cases execution

Record and report test results

Review design to verify requirements implemented, good engineering design practices followed

About the ideal candidate:

University Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related disciplines – Automation testing experience

Working knowledge of any UI functional test framework, preferable Ranorex – Working knowledge of any Performance/loading testing tool, preferable JMeter – Working knowledge of JIRA, HPQC or another relevant tool

Experience testing Desktop and BI applications

Experience with Agile methodologies

Working knowledge of SQL and scripts to write procedures

Working knowledge of any programming language, preferably C#

Strong problem-solving skills
