Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent

experience).

Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, specifically in testing desktop
applications.

Strong proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver,
Cucumber, or similar.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python for developing automated test
scripts.

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test planning, and test case design.

Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment
(CI/CD) processes.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with desktop application testing on Windows platforms

Knowledge of performance testing and familiarity with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Familiarity with database testing, SQL, and writing SQL queries.

Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar. • Certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB or similar, are a plus.

Job purpose:
The tester is responsible to ensure solution quality through testing. One of their key responsibilities is to writes tests (manual and/or automated). The tester has full responsibility and authority to decide if a feature developed by the team is completed or not. He / she needs to quickly gain intimate knowledge of the product to ensure that his feedback to the team is aligned with the product vision.
He should have some good understanding in Insurance domain.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure every feature developed by the team is tested
· Feed the team with detailed information on any defects found, and help the Scrum Master and Product Owner to prioritize defects
· Tester is a gate keeper and has final decision if a feature is completed

· Strives to automate and maintain tests
· Works with the IT and operations to run tests in production environments after deployment to ensure quality
· Knows the product vision and works closely with the designers and the Product Owner to translate their vision into tests
· Understanding of Pycharm for testing
· Understanding of data testing
Expertise:
· 5-7 years of experience as a tester
· Experience with testing in fast-paced sprint cycles including manual acceptance testing at story level and exploratory / creative testing
· Skilled at finding hidden requirements, edge cases, and a “desire to break” attitude · Experience in designing and implementing automated end-to-end tests and tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, UFT, Appium, TOSCA, pycharm etc.
· Experience in Data testing – ETL workflows on Glue.
· Ability to design, plan & execute integration, performance, and load bearing tests · Experience in working as part of agile team
