In 2021, they achieved national success. Since the team’s founding, eleven different head coaches have led them. With an average of 7,540 spectators for 15 regular-season games, they had the second-highest attendance among all Division 1 volleyball programmes in 2021.
The Badgers’ 30-3 overall record under coach John Cook was the greatest since the team’s creation (until they reached 31-3 in 2021). The team received a bye into the second round, where they defeated Central Florida 3-0, then they defeated Notre Dame 3-1 in the Sweet Sixteen. Florida defeated the team 3-2 in the Final Eight.
