Most of the companies go woth Trainee Engineer Title for freshers, I personally don’t think job title matters, because at the end what matters is skills.
you just make sure you are getting job in your relevant domain.

As you said you have applied for 500+ companies but got very less calls it means something you need to do from your end like, learn new skils which are trendy in market and most important is your resume you must need to update your resume and present everything neatly.
